Wedding Trends for the 2011-2012 Season

We’re still seeing lots of deep, bold colors, such as sapphire blue & eggplant, but will be starting to see more neutrals (charcoal gray and taupe)

and sherbet-y pastels (think pistachio, peach & lemon).

The glam of metallics is still hot as ever.

There will still be a lot of pink -from a sweet blush to dramatic raspberry.






Wedding gowns will feature fun accents - sashes & belts, bolero jackets, colorful beading on the bodice and skirt. We’ll be seeing more sleeves, lace, and illusion necklines.

Pocket squares instead of boutonnieres

In 2012 we’ll be seeing more pattern - including paisley, damask, and ikat - in attire and decor.

More couples will have a photo booth at their reception - either an actual professional booth, or a DIY version.

Wedding bouquets and centerpieces will include more non-traditional elements, such as feathers, paper flowers, and fruit.
